Available Committee and Sub-committee Positions

Investigations Committee

  • Electronic review of investigations
  • Committee conference calls (varies by committee, on average 2-4 one-hour calls annually)
  • Participate in specific projects tasked to the committee by the Committee Chairperson or Liaison
  • Serve as subject matter expert for your specialty
  • Assist in developing reports for the Board of Directors

Social Media Sub-Committee

  • Providing the Sub-Committee with periodic reports related to marketing outreach and campaign performance

Education Committee

  • Ensure coverage of appropriate educational topics and content  
  • Discuss topics of interest, and 
  • Identify potential gaps in the content calendar or topic areas. 

Standards Committee

  • Review standards electronically periodically during the Standards Review Process
  • Participate in committee conference calls
  • Contribute to assigned projects
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME)
  • Assist with reports for the Board of Directors

Standards Committee - Content Expert

  • Review specialty-specific standards during Standards Overhaul

  • Participate in conference calls (increased frequency during triennial review), as requested

  • Contribute to assigned projects

  • Serve as SME for specialty area(s)

Standards Committee – Language Reviewer

  • Review standards for clarity and language as assigned
  • Participate in conference calls
  • Contribute to assigned projects

Committee –  Working Group

  • Industry standard expert

  • Participate in conference calls

  • Contribute to assigned projects

  • Translate data, information, and evidence into standards

  • Align standards with laws, regulations, and best practices

  • Apply RUMBA (relevance, understanding, measurability, benefit, and achievability of the standard) principles
